By using Cool Thoughts, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

Cool Thoughts is a self-guided wellness and reflection tool operated by Suffica. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not a substitute for professional therapy, counseling, or emergency services.

Emergency disclaimer

If you are in crisis or at risk of harming yourself or others, contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately.

User responsibilities

• Do not submit personally identifiable information or sensitive data.
• Use the app only for lawful purposes.
• Do not rely on the app for urgent, emergency, or medical decisions.

AI data sharing and consent

The app uses third-party AI providers — Google (Gemini), OpenAI, and DeepSeek — to generate CBT reframes. Before any of your session text is sent to an AI provider, the app presents a mandatory consent screen that discloses what data will be shared and with whom. By tapping "Agree & Proceed" on that screen, you give us permission to transmit your session text to the selected AI provider solely for the purpose of generating your reframe. If you decline, no AI processing occurs and those features remain unavailable for that session. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what data is shared and how each provider handles it.

AI outputs

AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. AI-generated responses are not medical advice. You are responsible for how you interpret and use the output. By proceeding, you waive all liability against Suffica for responses produced by these AI services.

License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Prohibited uses

• Reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the app or its content.
• Interfere with security features or access data without authorization.
• Use the app to generate or store illegal or harmful content.

Third-party services

The app relies on third-party providers for hosting, analytics, subscription management (RevenueCat), and AI processing (Google, OpenAI, DeepSeek). Their terms and policies may apply.

Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Suffica and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenues.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Suffica and its affiliates from claims arising out of your use of the app or violation of these Terms.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
